Shriners Hospitals for Children in Shreveport is conveniently located off of I-49 in central Shreveport, just 1/2 mile south of the intersection of I-49 and I-20, providing easy access to visitors arriving from all directions. 

Northbound on I-49:
Take the Kings Highway exit (#205) from I-49.  Staying in the left lane, turn left onto Kings and cross under I-49.  Immediately following, move into the left turn lane and turn left onto Samford Ave (first light after crossing under I-49).  The hospital is located at the southwest corner of Kings and Samford.  After turning left onto Samford, make an immediate right turn into the Shriners front lot.

Westbound and Eastbound on I-20:
All traffic from I-20 west and east will exit I-49 South near downtown Shreveport (exit 17B to Alexandria).  Less than one mile following, take the Kings Highway exit (#205) off of I-49.  The Kings Highway exit will be the first available exit after merging onto I-49.  Stay in the right lane during the exit, and make a right turn onto Kings.  Immediately move into the left hand turn lane and prepare to turn left at the first light (Samford Ave.).  After turning left onto Samford, make an immediate right turn into the Shriners front lot.

Southbound on US Highway 71:
Visitors coming from Arkansas on Highway 71 will proceed through downtown Shreveport and will merge onto I-20 West.  Less than one mile along I-20, exit I-49 South to Alexandria (exit 17B).  Follow directions above (Westbound on I-20) for directions upon merging onto I-49 South.

Parking:
Parking for the Shreveport Shriners Hospital is available both along the north side of the main building and directly across the street from the hospital on Samford.  To enter the hospital side parking area, turn right off of Samford into the Shriners front lot, and follow the drive to the right to enter the parking area.  Parking in this area is limited.  The entrance to the main parking area lies directly across Samford from the hospital side entrance.  In lieu of turning right into the hospital front lot, turn left and cross Samford into the main parking area. In the rare event that this lot is full, visitors may also park in the grassy lot adjacent to the main parking area.  All parking is free of charge.

Should parking across the street pose difficulties for you or a patient, please pull into the main lot and circle around to the main doors.  The receptionist will assist you.
