2008 Norman Brown Lectureship

Shriners Hospitals for Children-Spokane presents the 2008 Norman R. Brown Lectureship on Friday, May 16th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year's lectureship features guest speaker, John G. Birch, M.D., of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas. The program is designed to present state-of-the-art treatment options for pediatric orthopaedic conditions. Dr. Birch, assistant chief of staff of orthopaedics at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, has served as professor, practitioner, consultant and author in the field of pediatric orthopaedics. He has been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has written numerous book chapters. Dr. Birch will be presenting sessions on fibular deficiency, classification of contralateral slip, and the Ilizarov method of treatment in children. Case studies will also be provided during the morning and afternoon sessions. The event is open to physicians, therapists and professionals who work with pediatric orthopaedic patients. Cost will be $50.00 and includes the seminar, materials and lunch. A total of 4.25 Category II credits may be earned.
