In the hospital

We believe that a parent's/guardian's presence during a child's hospital stay is very reassuring. We welcome one parent/guardian to room in with their child or to stay in one of the hospital's hotel-like parent rooms. We provide a single bed or reclining chair, bed linens, and shower facilities for the convenience of the parent staying.

Near Shriners-Tampa

A variety of Tampa-area hotels provide special rates for patients being treated at Shriners. Accommodations may also be available at the Ronald McDonald House on Davis Island, about 12 miles (20 minutes) from the hospital. Please contact Care Coordination at 813-972-2250 for additional information regarding local accommodations and transportation.

Local transportation

Transportation for Shriners patients and their families from outside the Tampa area is often provided by Shriner-drivers, organized by their local Shrine Center. For more information about this service, contact your local Shrine Center or the Care Coordination office 813-972-2250 several weeks before your visit.
