Shriner's Hospitals

JCAHO Right of Notification of Safety or Quality Concerns

Shriners Hospitals for Children in the U.S. are accredited by the Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO). Joint Commission standards deal with hospital quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. SHC is committed to meeting Joint Commission standards in all these areas. SHC has an open door policy. If you have any questions, comments or concerns about care received at SHC, please contact local Hospital Management.

If the issue is not resolved by the Hospital, you are always free to contact the Joint Commission directly to raise your concerns. In addition, the U.S. hospitals will have an unannounced survey by the Joint Commission every three years to assess their compliance to the standards. Anyone believing that he/she has pertinent and valid information about such matters may contact the JCAHO.
